"Tishtar" the demi-god of rain took the form of a white horse with golden ears, mane and tail as he landed alongside the Caspian sea and saw "Apaosh", the demon of drought as a black horse, with no mane, tail or ears. The demon was galloping and spreading death and drought alongside the Caspian sea. "Tishtar" knew he had to stop him. And he tried. They battled for three days in the middle of the sea...

تيشتر ايزد باران به پيكر اسبى سپيد با گوش و يال و دم زرين درآمد و در كنار درياى فراخكرت فرود آمد و ديد كه اسبى سياه و بدگل بى يال و دم و بريده گوش بر كناره دريا ميتازد و خشكى و مرگ مى پراكند. دانست كه او "اپوش" ديو خشكسالى است. دو اسب در ميانه دريا به هم آويختند و سه شبانه روز زورآزمايى كردند
