Maliheh Moradi

Maliheh Moradi became acquainted with music through her father, a Persian Ney player, and entered the field of music as a child by playing the Tombak and learning to sing. Maliheh Moradi and her ensemble perform a Tasnif by the poet and composer Mohammad Ali Amir Jahed, as a homage to the famous Iranian singer Ghamar’ol Molouk Vaziri. Tasnif is one of the several forms of Persian music and can be considered as the Persian equivalent of the ballad.
