Susanne McCarthy

Susan McCarthy studied the flute at the Royal Academy of Music in London with William Bennett and Sebastian Bell. She worked as a freelance flautist in London and was the principal flute player of the Athens Chamber Orchestra before moving to Paris, France.

Susan now teaches the flute to underprivileged children in a college in Paris and freelances with various different groups playing a mix of styles such as classical, Irish, jazz, world and contemporary music with musicians from various different nationalities. Her curiosity in mixing styles with her antique French flute, Irish musical background, and classical training have made her the exciting and vibrant flute player she is today.
