The Tirgan Festival, renowned as the world's largest celebration of Iranian art and culture, embarks on a groundbreaking global tour, beginning in California in Summer 2026. Building on its successful history in Toronto since 2006, the festival aims to create a global narrative that strengthens connections among Iranians by gathering them around shared cultural values while simultaneously enriching the cultural landscape of host societies. By showcasing the richness of Iranian art, culture, and identity, Tirgan promotes intercultural dialogue, enhances awareness of Iranian contributions, and creates opportunities for academic, artistic, and economic growth.
Tirgan is a vibrant Iranian festival that celebrates the essence of water and the spirit of unity. Since its revival in 2008, over 160,000 people have come together to honor this joyous occasion every two years.
Over the past 20 years, we have joyfully celebrated numerous Yalda nights and other cultural events. Each gathering has deepened our connection to our heritage and enriched our communal bonds.
We first celebrated Nowruz, the Iranian New Year, in 2006 and have continued the tradition annually since 2017. Each festival attracts around 20,000 visitors who join us in welcoming the arrival of spring with open hearts.
