SABA Duet By Pedram Khavarzamini & Bassam Bishara

Bassam Bishara and Pedram Khavarzamini have been performing an Arabic/Iranian duet on "oud" and "tombak" together in many different festivals and concerts for the past 3 years. This project is based on the Arabic melodic and rhythmical patterns which share a common sense and structure with Persian music. In this project, they present some old and new compositions which showcase these similarities between Iranian and Arabic music. In addition, there are some solo parts in which each musician presents their own musical background individually. In this performance, common roots and points between Arabic and Persian music are highlighted based on improvisation.
