Fariba Davody


Born in Tehran, Iran and currently living in Toronto, Canada, Fariba Davody studied Persian traditional music (traditional classical repertoire) in Tehran under the supervision of Iranian masters in the field. She is the founder of Mehr Music Group and Music Institute of Avaye Mehr as well as the coordinator of Women’s Music Festival. As a vocalist, she has performed in several international music festivals. She recently collaborated with Dastan Ensemble and also teaches Persian Singing (Radif). Her work Zemestan is a product of her collaboration with the Iranian master, Hamid Motebassem and Mezrab Ensemble. She performed with Shahrokh MoshkinGhalam in Tirgan Festival 2017.
