Traditional Puppet Making Workshop

“Kheymeh-Shab-Bazi” is a traditional puppetry unique to Iran, performed in a chamber called “Kheymeh”. The main character, “Mobarak”, is the most popular traditional puppet in Iran. In this workshop, kids learn to make a Mobarak string puppet easily using very simple materials and to perform their own show. Kids also learn how to make one other very simple hand-puppet and become familiarized with another method of puppetry which was used in traditional puppetry in Iran.

This program is for children aged 4-16.
