Poliya Takmiliyan

Poliya Takmiliyan is a set designer, puppeteer, and puppet maker. She graduated in Theatre from the Fine Arts faculty of Tehran University.
Takmiliyan started her career as a set designer from the very first year of the university and worked as an assistant in different TV shows, TV series, and movies. Her strong passion for puppet shows led her to start performing as a puppeteer and puppet maker at the International Student’s Puppet Theater festivals of Tehran. She was a member of a “Kheymeh-Shab-Bazi” group as a narrator (Morshed) and puppet maker. She also designed and made a portable chamber to enable her to perform in different locations. Takmiliyan performed in the opening of International Student’s Puppet Theatre of Tehran and International Children’s Day in “Kakh-e Niyavaran” in Tehran, where she and her group held a workshop for children to make “Mobarak” (the main character).
