Einaz Farahmand

Dancer

Einaz Farahmand started classes with Vancouver Pars National Ballet (VPNB) in 1993. She completed basic ballet training in her youth in Germany at Hagendorf Ballet. She has been performing for 25 years and her favourite folk dances are Ghasembadi and Azari. Farahmand feels it is through the folk dances that she has been educated about Iran. Dancing holds a special place in her life, as it has always been her passion and by being a part of VPNB it has brought her closer to her Iranian culture and identity. She considers herself blessed to be connected to her culture in Canada through folk dances. On a personal note, VPNB feels like a family to Farahmand, as they have been through everything together onstage and offstage.
