Nahid Salahshour

Nahid Salahshour is mostly a solo singer who sings, plays, and performs with her percussions (daf & tombak).
Salahshour was brought up in a family with a musical background. She took singing lessons, both in Persian and English, with various vocal instructors in Iran, Canada, and the United States. Her training for Iranian instruments, daf, tombak and setar was completed with Iranian masters.
Salahshour has been singing and playing the percussion solo, in Iran, Canada and the United States at cultural events, such as Persian New Year (Nowruz) and Winter Solstice (Yalda), as well as occasionally collaborating with bands.
