Maryam Pazooki

Maryam Pazooki is an Iranian born multidisciplinary visual artist, art educator, and researcher. Currently residing in Toronto, she has a diploma in Art and Design from Sureh University, a BA in Education from Kharazami University in Iran and an MFA in Nihonga (Japanese style painting) from Tsukuba University in Japan.
Pazooki has developed and taught courses in drawing, painting,print-making, culture, and batik in Canada, Japan, and Iran. Over the years she has also designed several book covers for various publications. Since moving to Canada she has been involved with a group of local plein-air artists in Halton Hills and has exhibited with them.
