Araz Nayeb Pashayee specializes in teaching and performing tombak, daf and udu. He started learning Persian classical music as a child in Iran and has focused on its percussive aspects ever since. After immigrating to Canada in 2001, he collaborated with many artists of various genres, in Canada, U.S., and Europe. He studied Visual Arts at Seneca College and Music at York University. He founded Araz School of Percussion in Toronto in 2010.
