Zuze is a 10-pc folk-jazz ensemble from Toronto. Zuze aims to reinterpret popular melodies from Iran and the surrounding region familiar to the Iranian community but accessible elsewhere. Zuze feels informed by the Iranian experience but limited by nothing. Zuze aims to create new space for identifying Iranian culture through the lens of the global diaspora. Zuze believes that traditional and non-traditional expressions are equally valid in achieving a smaller world with bigger ideas.
