Salute to Sun is a conceptual work for solo santur and vocals.

Conceptual music is rare in instrumental Persian classical music and there are only a handful of examples such as “Sea”, a masterpiece by Ardavan Kamkar

All compositions are by Mehdi Rezania in the style of contemporary santur performance. Every piece of the composition refers to a concept/story and collectively they express awareness, freedom and succession of tones as it has been the goal in Persian music for centuries and the practice of spirituality in the Iranian plateau.
