The word “Jiu-jitsu” means the practice of gentleness. Jiu Jitsu is a type of martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. It emphasizes taking an opponent to the ground and utilizing ground fighting techniques and submission holds. Achieving a dominant position on the ground is one of the characteristics of Japanese Jiu-Jitsu.
During this workshop, kids are familiarized with the principles of Jiu Jitsu in a non-competitive, inclusive environment.
