Babak Amini

Babak is a highly talented and accomplished Iranian-Canadian musician, composer, guitarist, member of American Guitar Society (CSUN University, Northridge, CA), and member of the Toronto Musicians' Association. (TMA). 
Babak was born in April of 1970 in Tehran, Iran and started playing music when he was 10 years old. Babak studied with Shahrokh Partovi, Dr. Simon Ayvazian, Levon Ichkanian, Ruben Diaz and many more.
At the age of 18, he started working as a professional musician and a session player in Tehran's top studios and worked with famous composers such as Babak Bayat, Majid Entezami, Dr. Mohammad Sarir,
Fereydoun Shahbazian, and many others which led to performing and collaborating in over 100 albums and Movie scores,

Later on in early 2000s he moved to Canada and started the band for the Iranian Diva, Googoosh.

• Musical Director and Band Leader for Googoosh.
• Musical Director and Band Leader for Faramarz Aslani .
• Musical Director and Band Leader of historical duet Nostalgia Word,Tour of Ebi And Googoosh.
• Leading the Babak Amini Jazz Trio.
• Leading Houman Javid's band.
• Composing and arranging for singers such as Faramarz Aslani, Googoosh,Ebi, Houman Javid, Soli, Sogand, Meysam Bakhtiari, Morteza, Sattar and many more.
• Performing in most prestigious venues such as Air Canada Centre, Nokia Theatre, Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Arena, Queen Elizabeth Theatre, to name a few.

Babak Currently resides in Toronto, leads Googoosh's band and Faramarz Aslani's band all over the world, teaches and produces music.
