Formed in 2003 by students, <strong><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/iranianalliances.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IAAB<\/a><\/strong> is the first Iranian-American organization to create spaces for critical dialogue and reflection. In 2004, <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/iranianalliances.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>IAAB<\/strong><\/a> held the first International Conference on the Iranian Diaspora, a groundbreaking program bringing together scholars, leaders, and other key stakeholders to discuss and respond to community challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Learning from successes of other diaspora communities, <strong><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/iranianalliances.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IAAB<\/a><\/strong> quickly recognized the need to tap into the Iranian community&#8217;s greatest asset: its youth. In 2006, <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/iranianalliances.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>IAAB<\/strong><\/a> created an intentional youth space, <strong><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/iranianalliances.org\/camp-ayandeh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Camp Ayandeh<\/a><\/strong>, that supports emerging high school leaders in their identity formation and provides them with the community and necessary tools to lead the Iranian-American community into the future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/iranianalliances.org\/camp-ayandeh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Camp Ayandeh<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/iranianalliances.org\/javan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Camp Javan<\/a><\/strong>, its sister camp for middle school students, have grown into the largest network of Iranian youth in the world with hundreds of successful student leaders positively impacting virtually every industry including technology, government, not-for-profit, medicine, and academia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Our youth are change-makers and inspiring leaders in their communities. Our programs empower members to be more informed about themselves and the world. For the Iranian diaspora community, <strong><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/iranianalliances.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IAAB<\/a><\/strong> is the leader in supporting a new generation to be active problem-solvers for local and global challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"IAAB Welcomes Campers\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YMKgtaHBQfM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/iranianalliances.org\/javan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Camp Javan will be held July 15th-21st in Toronto, Canada<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Camp Javan is open to all current 6th through 8th grade students.\u00a0Please note that current 8th grade students must apply to Camp Javan. Camp Javan has the dual mission of empowering campers with a deeper understanding of culture and identity as youth within the Iranian diaspora, and the confidence and skills to be leaders within their communities. Camp Javan finds the perfect balance between fun and learning, with all activities in English. Camp Javan is a weeklong overnight camp led by IAAB staff and hosted at a college. Exceptional university students and young professionals, mostly comprised of Camp Ayandeh alumni, lead campers as counselors through a series of community-building activities, experiential workshops, and discussions. Camp Javan serves rising 7th grade through rising 9th grade students. As a non-political and non-religious camp, Camp Javan is open to all races and creeds.
