Iana Komarnytska
Youth Activities
Iana has been practicing North African and Central Asian dance forms since 2005. She received her training in Ukraine, Egypt, Turkey and Canada. A former participant of Ishtar Dance Company (Ukraine) and Arabesque Dance Company (Canada), she graduated in 2014 from York University with BFA in dance degree. Since 2012 she has been studying Persian Classical dancing with Ladan Lotfi. Also, along with the dance, Iana is interested in Middle-Eastern music theory and practice, and is involved in dance research projects.
