Amin Afshinmanesh

Amin Afshinmanesh started learning music at the age of 10 by playing santour (Persian Dulcimer) and at the age of 12 by playing daf (Persian frame drum). He studied music under the supervision of prominent musicians such as Siamak Aghaei, Ardavan Kamkar, Pashang Kamkar, Bijan Kamkar, Masoud Habibi and Alireza Javaheri. He also took piano lessons with Mrs. Afsaneh Shahsa for two years. He was almost thirteen years old when he started his collaborations with ensembles such as Vaziri (Keivan Saket) and Dalahoo (Masoud Habibi). Since that age, Amin has also performed with several other groups in Iran and Canada. He won the first prize of the International Fadjr Festival along with Zhwan Ensemble (Roham Sobhani) in 2008. Amin joined Araz School of Percussion as a daf teacher in 2013.
