Dr. Mokhtari recieved his Ph.D. from the University of Delaware in 1983 and has taught International Relations, Public Policy Administration, Political Economy, and Political Philosophy at various universities since. After having taught at Norwich University in Vermont and later joining the faculty of National Defense University in Washington DC, he recently joined the University of Vermont as a professor of political science. His latest project is a search for a stable security arrangement in the Middle East. The objective is an inclusive alignment to facilitate security for all, rather than security for some vis-a-vis insecurity (real or perceived) for others. His latest book is, In the Lion's Shadow: The Iranian Schindler and his homeland in the Second World War (London: The History Press, 2011). The book was republished in the United States in 2012 and its third edition appeared for European distribution on March 4, 2013.
