Mayn Zard

Mayen Zard is a well recognized and an independent Kurdish Dance group, founded in Toronto, Canada by an Iranian Kurd –Mostafa Nosraty- who has used creativity and determination to offer new choreographs every few months while remaining true to the core of Kurdish dance. It is a team of enthusiastic and educated individuals who aim to showcase the beauty of Kurdish dance professionally and beyond and above political orientations. Through its art, Mayen Zard creates a bridge between cultures and strives to do its best to perform respectfully, beautifully, and professionally. Presenting different dance styles from every regions of Kurdistan, it thrives to spread this art around the globe as well as to keep this ancient beauty alive for the future generations. Since its birth in 2010, Mayen Zard has appeared in more than 30 prestigious festivals and events within Canada, the United States and Mexico and also received invitations from Europe.
