Aizada Akmatova

Aizada Akmatova Mametisaevna was born in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in 1976. She studied under supervision of great ballet masters such as Yusim, Samorokova, Sinelnikova, Vatula. She completed her dance education at the Moscow State Academic College of Choreography (1986-1994) and later at the Mariinsky Theatre in Sankt Petersburg (2004-2005). After her return to Kyrgyzstan, Akmatova was appointed as the Prima Ballerina of the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Kyrgyzstan in 1994 and was given the title of The Honored Artist of Kyrgyz Republic in 2004. Her repertoire includes all main classical repertoire such as Nutcracker, Giselle, Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, Paquita, La Bayadere, Les Sylphides, Spartacus, The Fountain of Bakhchisarai, etc. She followed her husband Emil Akmatov to Tajikistan and was appointed as the Prima Ballerina at the State Academic Opera and Ballet of Tajikistan and pedagogue of the National Ballet and the Choreographic College of Tajikistan (2009-2014). She has worked with the repertoire of Les Ballets Persans and its Principal Choreographer Nima Kiann since 2012.
